How To Install Appvizer's Tracking Scripts?

Method 1: The HTML method

This method is for you if :

• you have access to your website's HTML code,
• you're relatively comfortable adding an HTML <script> tag, or someone on your technical team can do it for you.

Method 2: the Google Tag Manager method

This method is for you if :

• you already have a GTM instance running on your website and prefer to use it,
• or you prefer not to touch your HTML code directly.

Google Tag Manager can be blocked by ad blockers.

This method is for you if :

• you use Wordpress,
• you're not comfortable using method 1, which also works.

After installing, check the script

Congratulations, you've installed your Appvizer tracking scripts on your website!

Run a test

• Fill in your form to test and see if a conversion comes up in your Appvizer customer area.
• Conversions made on day D will be visible on day D+1 in your space.

Example:

Check on Chrome browser

Now check that the installation has been completed correctly, to make sure you don't miss any leads.

• Open your browser console;
• Go to the "Network" tab, then the "XHR" sub-tab;
• Check the "Preserve logs" option;

• Trigger the event by refreshing the page, for example;
• Search for the term "appvizer" in queries: a query entitled "external-event" of type post should be present. If you don't find these events, the script is not properly installed.
• Check the details of the information sent. The details are as follows for a conversion event:

If the event field doesn't have the right visit or conversion tag and the id field isn't yours, the script isn't properly installed.
